Ginning is the process of separation of components, thread and cottonseed, that are contained in the flower of cotton. Cotton thread is used for producing spinner and finally cloth, while cottonseed is used, after suitable treatment, for producing cotton oil and cotton seed cake (good of forage).

The overall process of treatment in the ginning house has a major role for the quality of produced fibre. Ginning with inadequate machinery causes the interlace of fibres and the creation of knots, while the treatment of cotton with high rate of humidity degrades the quality of fibre and also colorizes it. For these reasons, the process of ginning includes desiccation and storage of cotton through the various stages of treatment.

Description

Collection and Storage of teased cotton The teased cotton is collected by the producers, is delivered to the ginning house and is stored in our deposits for appropriate time period before treatment.

	Ginning Teased cotton is loaded on rolling ribbons and is forwarded to the stage of engrossment. Next, is cleaned and at the same time desiccated with the use of powerful boilers, for the removal of humidity. From there it is distributed to the ginning machinery, via the central snail. In the ginning machinery takes place the segregation of fibre of cotton from the cottonseed and the waste. The clean cotton then is packed, with special presses of compaction, and each parcel is recorded via our installed system for the collection of elements (database). The parcels of ginned cotton are henceforth stored, until they are charged in lorries or containers.

Storing of produced materials
The parcels of ginned cotton are stacked in our deposits until their loading. The cottonseed passes from the stage of desiccation and then is stored in special deposits with adequate air supply for the maintenance of its quality.
